Now has online advertising hurt our car sellers? We do not see that. With the increased traffic, car ads are being seen by many more people today than before. Advertisement on the car ads are very generic compared to the information a car seller can include. This leaves car buyers either interested in the car for sale, or just clicking on the ads to leave and see other cars for sale. So, if a buyer is interested, they stay. If they aren't they leave, regardless of an ad there or not.

We regret to tell you the Contact Seller Form has been disabled. In it's place a page will pop up displaying a mail to link for the Vehicle Seller's Email Address.

Our system was used by a person we later tracked in Africa to initiate contact with our Members. The messages sent to our members were benign, and only requested contact with them. We aren't sure what happened outside of our system, but we were blamed for initiating the contact between the seller and the buyer. A Member(s) reported this CarFleaMarket.com to their ISP, which resulted in our Hosting Company getting ISP complaints, later warning us about our site's responsibilities. Too many people became involved before we blocked the offenders IP Address, resulting Us to re-evaluate the Contact Seller Form, and removing it from service.

In it's place is the Contact Seller Page, this page contains the email address for potential buyers to get in contact with the Vehicle Seller. We use this technique(not putting email address on each Ad), to help minimize spammers from auto harvesting information about our Members. Also after talking with other Car Site owners, by forcing potential buyers to use their own email service, only legitimate buyers should try and contact our Members, since they are revealing their identity when they email. Like I said, the original offender was from Africa, and if they have a history of such unfriendly activities, your spam filter might block them already.

We have seen many emails going between potential buyers and vehicle sellers, and noticed that some enhancements were needed to make the selling process easier.

Originally, the Contact Seller email was designed to be simple and fast, so it could make it past all anti-spam programs. It appears after testing, anti-spam software have improved quite a bit, so now we upgraded the emails with a new feature. Now when person replies directly to the email, it replies to the the potential buyer. The different from value from the reply to value in an email does seem to pass through most anti-spam filters. This should make it a lot easier than copy & pasting values into a new email message to the potential buyer.

Extra information has been added. We have noticed many people are selling multiple vehicles, which meant that we needed to include information in the Contact Seller Email, so the seller was able to determine quicker what vehicle was the topic. We have include Year, Make, Model, and the Zip Code where the vehicle is listed to be located. We hope these improvements make for a smoother, quicker selling process.

Welcome to the NEW CarFleaMarket.com After months of testing, numerous feedbacks and suggestions from our Members, we found that the original site could not handle the number of visitors and searches that were performed daily safely. As an end result, we rewrote the site to operate on a more stable, robust application platform. Some text needs to be beefed up to reflect the new changes, but everything looks ok for opening our doors.
